2026 Pulse Remembrance Ceremony
Next date: Friday, June 12, 2026 | 05:30 PM
As we approach a decade since the Pulse tragedy, the City of Orlando invites the community to gather in a collective spirit of love and remembrance. On Friday, June 12, 2026, we will host the annual Pulse Remembrance Ceremony at the First United Methodist Church in Downtown Orlando. This event honors the 49 angels taken while also recognizing the enduring strength of the families, survivors, first responders, and trauma teams who were forever changed on June 12, 2016.
This evening of reflection will feature musical performances from local cultural artists, and the Orlando Gay Chorus, and a special presentation by City of Orlando Poet Laureate Camara Gaither. This year’s event will also include participation from the Angel Action Wings, a volunteer group that has spent more than ten years spreading messages of love and acceptance across our city.
As the evening concludes, the community will join together for a candlelight ceremony and reading of the 49 names, allowing us to look back on the compassion and unity that continue to define the spirit of Orlando United.
